Today was better. and so was James :)
seems like its a cold now for him.

At school we did WHMIS and had a life skills coach come in the afternoon.
He was really great.
We have him the next 2 days too.
He is teaching us about things like: how to ignore the little voice in our head, how to determine when there is a problem (whether it is about you or someone else), how to think about things differently ...
I am not doing a good job of explaining it lol
but he is there to help us so we dont go crazy ;)

It is really interesting and makes you think.
I told him he would make a great marriage councellor. what he was saying would work well for some couples (like us!).

My friend Nikki is dropping out of it Already!
I dont blame her at all.
She was pressured into it I think.
But she is smart and knows its not what she wants and doesnt want to waste the time or money.
thats ok. I have made another friend, who I have had lunch with and sat with the last couple days. She is young too...but we are a lot alike.

So I am feeling pretty good about things.
It will be a lot of work. (over 200 pages of reading for the first week of class lol)
I am nervous about doing the job, but once I am confident I know its what I want to do. SO I will be ok.
I cant wait to one day be in labor and delivery. I want to be there for the moment tha baby arrives.

I am pooped. But its a good thing. I am in bed early.

Today the kids stayed home with my friend kelly. They had fun. It is so nice they can stay here some days. I am so lucky to have her!

I dread practicums. If I work early mornings, which I dont want to because I dont think I can find anyone to watch them.
we will see when the time comes.

I think I found free parking. It will add a couple mins to my walk, but thats ok. A guy in my class is going to park there tomm. So we will see.
I hate having to pay,

NO!!!

James has a bad fever!!!!
I called around 2pm , and it had just come on. Poor guy. He had been on the couch since 1030.
I just gave him some more tylenol and we are going to see if we can get it down!
he isnt eating but is drinking, so that is good.
I am happy he gets to stay home with daddy/kelly the next 2 days. So I know he will be comfortable at home.
This is going to be the HARDEST park.
Knowing I cant call in sick if the kids are flu/cold sick. anything worse, then I am there for my babies.
I feel so bad :(

School today was a bore lol. It was english class. We did essays, sentences, paragraphs and study skills. yawn.
Any days will be better then the last two lol.

The strawberry set a friend made me for Ariannas bday. She will wear it this year. James and his new haircut..and the kids tea party.

Day 1

Was all paper work and information.
Just for a couple hours too.
I was home with the kids by 1230.
They had a great morning with Ashley. Ate all there huge lunches too lol.
The drive wasnt too bad today. But parking is still a headache.

We will get textbooks on friday so I can start my assignments.
otherwise the next few weeks will be pretty boring.
I already did CPR first aid and whimis. so it will all be review.

it is snowing today. ick. it is just bad, cause its warm and messy!
I am uploading pics now, and will post asap,

nothing else besides cleaning for me today!
I will me looking forward to weekends now. where I dont have to leave the house at 8 am!!

Oh Boy!

So yesterday I went an met my class.
I thought it was going to be just a short pot luck lunch.
No.
It was 3 hours and included homework!
As soon as we get our textbooks, we have reading and assigments to complete before the first classes.
The next 3 weeks will be contract classes. Meaning CPR, first aid, food safety, whimis, and things like that. so no book home work.
So that means I have 3 weeks to get all the assignments given to me done. its not so bad.

So monday we have are orientation and do all the paperwork.

It is going to be hard work.
tons of reading!
I am prepared for it.

I am one of the older ones in the class (well the half that showed up) and I was the only one there with kids too.
makes me feel like it will be extra hard for me lol.
I made friends with a 20 year old lol. man I feel old. she was really nice, and we are going to be study buddies. Age doesnt matter to me. I want someone who will work hard and wants to do well. And this is her. She is not a partier. A nice christian girl :)

So my nerves eased 100% I no longer feel sick LOL
I will "enjoy" the next 3 weeks of less work before it all begins!

I am excited!
I just need to make sure I stay organized and manage my time well :)

So I have a list of things I need to get...again.
6 binders to start. yikes.
I also need a new watch. one with a second hand. good thing sears has 40% off this weekend plus scratch and save lol.
I need to get a better backpack. they recommend ones with wheels... I guess there has been some injuries from lugging the massive textbooks.
they had the one I got like that, so I just need to exchange it.

my only unresolved issue will be parking. I could not find much. grrr
I may take a drive out there tomm. morning and see what I can find when it is less busy.

I get the afternoon ALL TO MYSELF.
Brandon is going to work and my brother and his fiancee are taking the kids to bday party, for the afternoon.
YAYAY!
I am super excited. I am going to do my shopping. ahhh I cant wait.
It is a nice break before monday :)

A little sick

yeah I feel a little under the weather. I cant tell if its going to be a cold or something worse. But I just feel off, a little cold, and achy.
As long as I am better by Monday then I will be ok.

I still went out last night to celebrate my best friends birthday. I had a really nice time.

We were supposed to go to Ashleys (babysitter) for a playdate, but I wasnt feeling well enough. And the last thing I need is for her to get sick.

I made a trip out to costco to pick up an appetizer to bring to my school potluck tomm. I am excited to meet my class.
I was thinking, I wonder if I am going to be the oldest one LOL
I realized I am 26, and you never know, it could be a class of fresh out of high school people!
yikes,
I hope I can meet at least a couple people to hang out with and help eachother out.

I am really nervous..still.
But you know what I am looking forward to?
homework.
I love to learn anything that has to do with the body.
It will be so nice to be learning again.
I know once I am over the nervousness I can get into the swing of things and do really well at this.
I am motivated to do well and succeed at this...for many reasons.

I am going out for coffee and dessert with other best friend tonight. It is one of my last nights out :( lol

And the final episode of the OC is on...boo hoo. oh well one less thing to distract me right?

Ouch!

I had my appt with the plastic surgeon today.
And Yes I will need surgery.
BUT I cannot get it done until after school is done. I will need to be in a wrist splint cast thing (lol) for around 4 weeks.
there is no way I can do that with school.
SO once I am done school I will get it done.
For now I get to suffer in having it drained. yum.
Today he did. It involved freezing the area and using this jumbo needle to drain it, then squeeze some more out LOL
Are you sick yet?! hehehe
It turns out the one cyst on the sore hand has grown a seperate part now too. which will continue to grow up the tendon. he was trying to get that one, and he hit my radial artery. it was bloody lol.
I am bruised and super sore now, but should be ok for a bit.
It will grow back.
I will need this done more times while in school. Not fun.
that is my story for the day!


Didnt do much else. went and got my friend a bday gift. I am going out for a late dinner tomorrow night. I need it.
I am on the verge of an anxiety attack lol.
I am just nervous.
my body is stressed.

On friday I got for a pot luck lunch to meet my class. will be nice to do so before the first day of classes.
I am trying to sort out the parking around the school. there isnt much offered for students. it sucks. SFU is also on campus, so there is lots of people wanting to park.
I am number 9 on a waiting list for a monthly pay park spot.
I need to go take a look on what else is around there...sigh. it sucks.
(no bus goes down the hwy from my house, where I need to go)

OH James got a hair cut again. I really love his hair longer with curls. but when it gets longer, he is always rubbing his neck, face and ear area. I am not sure why.
I thought maybe his hair was bugging him. so we will see,
If not I may just check with the doctors.
He is always doing it.
He looks mighty cute. I will get some pics soon.

Well hockey has started. I must go cheer canucks on.

Surprise!

My baby brother has come home for a surprise visit. :)
I came to my parents yesterday after my mom invited me for lunch, and he was there.
He didnt tell anyone, took the greyhound from calgary, and got in at 430 am sat morning. He took a cab to my parents and snuck in.
The kids love him so much.
James was bouncing off the walls hehe.

He also came back to our place last night and him and I watched the hockey game and had pizza. It was great.
He is only here til wed. so we will spend as much time with him as possible!!

I am still getting ready for school.
Got to get some groceries so I can pack lunches now too :)
that is my plan for today, along with lasagna dinner at my parents.

I have been so tired lately. I think I am a little stressed and am feeling it by feeling super sleepy. well at least I am getting 8 hours at night...hehe

So I found out our old neighbours sold there house (identical layout to our house) for 426000 in less then 24 hours. It was around 1.5 years since we sold ours, and that was for 26400. I cannot believe how much they went up. man we lost out ;) hehe

we are itching for a move here ....kinda.
we just want a bigger yard!
but I think we will have to stick it out for a year or two until school is done.

well I am off to have some coffee.

How exciting!
I love my scrubs. I got some real comfy, sexy ones LOL

they are a new style, and are like board short lace ups.

I cant wait to wear them...and I am sure Brandon cant either ;)

Along with getting my shopping done from school, I am starting to get really nervous.

It is going to be insane.

I hope I can do well.

No big weekend plans as Brandon is working. This is my last week off so I want to enjoy it.

I could not be happier with what Brandon did for me for Valentines!
I got out of the shower to see a little Valentines love note on the floor in front of the door.
Then I foind 3 more in the room.
All saying something sweet and kind about me...or naughty ;)
I have found 26 more all around the house.
It is the most romantic thing he could have done.
I love reading all these little things he thinks about me but never says. It is amazing.

Cheat day

With all the yummy food how could I resist. And it as my dads birthday!
It was a great day.

I also got 2 Robert Bateman prints. I am so excited. Finally some nice art for my wall. I cant wait to get more. The sale is coming back March 17, so I will have to save up for some more.
I really love pictures of my family on the wall, but I am missing being able to look at a picture through someone elses eyes.
I love Robert Batemans work, cause he is a local artist. He paints animals. A lot are from the islands around here.
I want my house to be eye appealing and intersting. I think this is a great start :)

Today we are making and decorating our valentines day cupcakes. I dont want to even have more cake, but I promised the kids. I wonder if you can freeze them?!

I will take them on a walk to get a movie. they are staying with grandpa for a couple hours this evening.

I will post some cupcake pics when I can!

15 degrees

That was how warm it was yesterday. And sunny.
The kids were outside riding bikes! It was wonderful. I think we all needed the big dose of sunshine.
Spent the morning at YMCA. Arianna made heart cookies in her cooking class and then had swimming lessons.
I got to run on the treadmill while James was at playgroup.
It was nice!

Today is my dads birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!
we are going over there this morning for breakfast.
Then I will be making turkey dinner for him.
We will also celebrate Mairas birthday, as hers is tomorrow.

I am also going to hit a art sale this morning after I get to my parents.
Its a huge clearance. Everything under $99. And even says there will be Robert Bateman work!
I love him!

Should be another nice day...this time in the rain.

Arianna and her friend Ava. This is them holding the pet turtles.

It all started with Arianna waking up at 530 wanting her flower wall light turned on. She was calling out for daddy, who of course is not tuned in to hear kids in the middle of the night.
I get up and turn it on for her. Tell her to go back to sleep.
In that time James has heard her and decided to get up. So he is at his door.
I go and tell him to go back to bed. He gets in and I leave.
I get back into bed for 15 min and then Brandon gets up for work.
Showers and dresses, and goes downstairs.
Of course James gets up again during that time.
I have no idea if Arianna was up, but I didnt want to chance it and look in her room.
So 7 comes around and James would not go back to bed.
He comes into my room and watches a cartoon until 730 when Arianna joins us...who was playing in her room.

YAWN,.
So our day began too early.
And James is a nightmare already. It is going to be a fun day.

I think I will head to costco with them this morning to get out before I MAKE them nap.
Need to pick up a present.
It is my dads bday on sunday and Mayra (bros finacee) on monday.
we are having a turkey dinner on sunday at my parents.

I got my camera back. so I PROMISE to get some new pics up here today.

I have been running to my parents place and back on days where I dont go to the gym. It is a nice easy run. Just enough to make me sweat and feel like I did a good workout.
I am way too tired to go to the gym tonight. or run.
I think I will do a DVD at home when I get some energy.

Oh my wrist cyst is growing back. The bursting did not make it disappear. Oh well I have my appt. on the 20th. we will see what he says.

Ok time to get dressed, feed the kids and head to timmys for a double double.

A busy day with the kids today.
Brandon is studying for his flying exam on monday. So I wanted to give him some quiet time (hopefully he will remember this when I need to study for an exam hehe)
Arianna had her cooking class. Today was blueberry muffins. I dropped James of at the playgroup.
The she had her swimming lessons. She is doing great. I am amazed to see how long she can hold her breath under water.
And today she started using her "swimming arm" (front crawl) It was adorable.

Then we headed out to lunch. I had a lovely salad wrap. Doing well on my eating ;)
Then a trip to walmart. I got the kiddies their valentines treats and a few other things.
Stopped to get gas and a coffee and headed home.

It was a 5 hour outing and now we are pooped.

I have stew in the slow cooker and there is a hockey game on tonight (go canucks)
A good night to relax and review some more anatomy :)

After hearing this on the news this evening my stomach is aching!

Ok Ok This is day 2 of Arianna waking up way too early and going in to wake James up.
Yesterday was a terrbile day full of crying and no napping as well.
I had such a headache by the time Brandon got home around dinner time.
Then he got to witness a fit from James.

So she does it again today.
I have no idea how to manage not waking up on the wrong side of the bed myself! I get so aggitated!

I know she has been waking basically when brandon leaves for work. the shower he uses wall is right at the head of her bed. so it is loud.
Man, its just bad all around!

So I have a big pot of coffee just about done :)

As for today we are headed to chucky cheese for 1030. We are meeting Ashley (dayhome mom) and her daughter Paige. I thought it would be a good idea to get together and let the kids know her more before they start going there.
Should be fun...and I pray the kids tire enough to nap when we get home!

OH BIG NEWS...
that you may not want to hear....its kinda gross (according to Brandon)
Last night working out I was done my ab work and was getting up and fell onto my wrist...which then burst the cyst! The one on my left side too. So now the pain is gone!
So I still have one on my right hand...and I still think the cyst is on the left (just diflated).
I am going to see what its like on the 13th when I am supposed to call and confirm my appt with the surgeon.


Off to get the coffee!

how do you get through grocery shopping without the fighting...?!

I guess that is why I try and go now when I can go myself OR take one with me.

It sure can be stressful.

I am taking a break from my cleaning.

I always know when its time to clean upstairs when fluff from James' blanket is scattered on the floor.

WHICH he thinks are spiders...lol

And he is very scared of spiders.

If he goes into the bath and there happens to be fluff inbetween his toes or anywhere, that ends up floating in the bath...he freaks.

I am talking about shreeks and screams as loud as he can. And he gets out of the bath tub in a blink of an eye. Once again.....they are spiders. lol

do you think it would be mean of me to stage it and captured it on camera?!?

I am going to drop of my final paperwork for school as soon as I can. Then I can be all ready.

It will be fun to buy my first set of scrubs. I am thinking of a solid color...maybe navy or a nice blue.

I am not into the cartoons of other designs you can get on the tops....hehe

well the kids are loud downstairs. better get back to them

both dont nap anymore...well James on occasion.

quiet time in their rooms didnt go so well either....

at least they will pass out at 7....only 3 more hours ;)
