quick

Just wanted to pop in and give a quick update.
I had my first 30 min group presentation today and it went awesome. I feel another A! hehe
I have another one tuesday and thursday. then its time to get ready for finals.

Many late nights and early mornings.
I also have a docs. appt. tomorrow for possible ulcer...and something else really odd.
I have a lump inside my tongue. it feels like a pea. scary!
I am unsure what it could be, but it is freaking me out. I only noticed cause it got painful.

Wish me luck!
I am just broken haha.

Phew I am so glad this week is over.
I am so tired. The worst it has been yet!
I got to more exams back....a 99% again (why cant I get 100??) and an 88%.
I was very happy!

Next week is the start of presentations. I have 2 group projects and 1 partner one. Yikes. It will be a long week.
I cant believe in 3 weeks I will be on my first practicum as well. I will find out where I will be going next friday I think.

This week was interesting. I had my first lab spot check in nursing arts. Basically you prepare to perform one of the lab skills we learned. You go in one person at a time into the lab with the teacher, and you perform the skill on the dummy, talking as you go.
It is so hard. It is like acting!
very imtimidating.

I picked Catheter care of a male. So I can to do it and talk as I was. It was so hard. I was a ball of nerves!
But I made it through. It just is going to prepare me for the care studies I am going to have to do in a few weeks.

Things at home are ok. I dont really see brandon all that much. It is hard.

I have a docs. appt next week. I am having tummy pain and loss of appetite. I know it is stress, but I need to make sure it is not an ulcer. I have lost around 7 pds so far. I am not complaining. It is nice when your husband tells you, you are getting skinny. hehe
I am well beyond my last belt hole!
Yippie!
I am happy, as I want to get a new bathing suit for Las vegas, and I want to look good in my brothers wedding.

I get a night off and alone tomorrow night. I am staying at my parents while they go out. Yay a day to sleep in!!!!

No other big plans for the weekend,...as there is always so much work.

Another week

Over!
Yay it is going by sooo fast. It is kinda scary to know in a month I will be on my first practicum.....
It was a great week overall. I had 2 midterms which I think I did well on.
I have also made a new great friend in the class. We are partners in a project. He is one of two guys in the class. we sit on oppposite sides. but we are great together.
we have developed a nice friendship which started with him opening up to me about some problems he was dealing with. now we help eachother out. It is the perfect compliment for eachother to well in school. I just feel more relaxed now.

I attended my first council meeting. It was nice :) I like feeling like part of the school. And being a leader in class.

Tonight is date night, and kids sleep over at grandmas. it turned out that way cause I had asked them to watch the kids for me tomorrow so I can do projects. But they were so nice and offered to let me sleep in too.

So we are going to a dinner and movie. I need this break.
And I think Brandon and I need some time together.

He is back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off. It was nice having him home a bit more, even though he was at the airport a lot too.

Tomorrow is project today. I have a couple people coming here probably. I have 2 group projects to finish up.

I am typing this blog from my new laptop! It is amazing. Brandon and I went out yesterday to get one for me. we both have work to do on the computer, and this makes it way more easy for us to get it done.
I love it.
I can relax and get my papers done.

I took saturday off from home work. I am spending all day today making up for it! hehe
Brandon is at the airport all day.

School is good. I got 86% on my 2nd anatomy test. Not as high as I would like, but at least an A still.
I have been working on all these projects. I think I have like 5 mostly done. Thank goodness. I need to start tackling my ethical paper, but I have 2 midterms this week to study for.

I am feeling almost better, knock on wood. After 6 weeks of sickness....but it did take 5 pds off me haha. cant complain!

Well I better get some work done. I have 200 medications to memorize! haha

wanted to share

My first mid-term of this program and I got 99%.
I am so proud of myself.
I am able to still do all the things at home like clean, cook and spend time with the kids...and I am able to study well.
It is a great accomplisment.
I am not sure how long these great marks will last, as I had a HARD midterm yesterday, but either way it is a nice way to start :)

AND I was voted class president! I was so honoured!
It may mean I am valedictorian at our graduation, and have to write a speech...but it is well worth it :)
I get to attend school meetings on behalf of my class and other things.

It was a great day!

I am feeling better, but still not 100%
I better go I have a test friday and there is a basket of laundry sitting here beside me :)

Darn Sinuses!

oooow I am in pain. And my teeth hurt. My sickness again has moved into my sinuses and is getting worse by the moment!
I need to stop and get some advil sinus stuff on my way to my parents.
I dont think it is an ifection yet....I just had one, what 2 weeks ago?! sheesh.

Anyways Happy Easter!
The kids got up and discovered the easter bunny had left chocolate eggs all around. they were donwstairs before me! Usually they come to our room.
I managed to get some of the hunting on film.
It was very cute.
I am sure today at my parents she will have something for them too.
It is a quiet easter. Brandon is working.
We are having dinner at my parents. YUM!
I have a midterm tomorrow to keep studying for. I am not as condfident on the material of it.

I am so bad with updating now! I think once a week is becoming normal! My mind is always on other things I have to do.
This week was ok. I made it through my first midterm (not sure of my mark yet).
We did bed baths in nursing arts as well as oral care and peri care.
We actually bathed a partner (no nudity...used dummys for that) it was fun.
Also got details on our case study. It is where we have a scenario that we have to act out. The client will be in the bed and we have to do things (things we have learned) to them. We have to be verbalizing everything...it is so awkward cause you are talking to youself!
I am freaking out about this to be honest. I can do well in class particpation, presentations, written tests....but this kinda test I freeze on.
I am trying to find a way to cope with it!
the hardest part is we have to prepare for 4 different scenarios, and 5 mins before the test we have to pick one out of the hat. its a lot of work!

I am sick again. My immune system is shot from all this stress. I have only been healthy for 1 week since starting school. It has been so hard to function while sick.
I have been up most of the night the last 2 nights, from coughing.

Yesterday the kids had a grandma day. I had some school friends over to do homework. We all work well together and have the same goals and expectations of ourselves. So it works well :)

one more thing....it was been unofficially confirmed that I am our LPN class president! lol
Yup, we need one to attend meetings at the school.
And me, of course being so loved ;) hehe was nominated and took almost all the votes. I was kinda shocked...but flattered as well.
I get along, and talk to everyone in the class.
So of course my nickname is miss president.

I love school...just not all the work!
Better go did I mention Arianna has the barfies?
Yes at 630 am yesterday we woke up to puking. And it was red...on my beige carpets.

She is standing at the toliet right now...poor girl.

Yes life could not get any more stressful right now!
