Almost Summer

Tomorrow is the official start of summer.
We have been enjoying some nice sunny days lately...and I have been working on my tan! I am determined to have a nice base before we go to vegas. I dont want to be burning myself!

School is going well....fast though.
The kids have been enjoying bike riding again. James still has no mastered turning corners, so we have had quite a few falls. the little trouble just gets back up and rides again,...scrapes and all. he wont give up!
Arianna is loving riding fast with the big girls. It is so nice to see.
I think we are going to love summer on our quiet little lane :)

Its almost bedtime, I better get going.
nothing else really exciting happens during the week...hehe

First week

It was rather overwhelming.This semester is only 7 weeks long and involves alot of pharmacology and 2 sets of case studies...eeeeek.
It will go by so fast. I have so much work to do already. sigh.
Getting used to the doing nothing else but homework again. I dont think brandon likes that very much. what can I do.
This has been stressful on our relationship so far, and it wont be better for some time still. I just hope we can make it through with little damage. But I am already finding it hard.

Yesterday I went shopping to the US with my friend. It was a lot of fun. We found good deals. I didnt really buy much, as I was unsure if I could. I had asked about a little extra $, but did not get an answer. oh well.
The border line ups were insane. The dollar is so good, everyone is going down that way.

Today we are going to my parents for a fathers day dinner. brandon is gone all day. airport then work.

Only a few more weeks until we go to las vegas. I am really looking forward to it. It will be a well deserved vacation. I cant wait to play in the pool with the kids. The hot sun will be nice, as the weather here has not been that great.

Kids are good. Enjoying playing outside and riding bikes. James is still NOT full potty trained. He is very stubborn and does it when he wants. maybe when brandon has more vacation this summer he can try again.

Well I better run and get breakfast made for daddy before he leaves.

My first practicum is now done. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience overall. But, I have to say I am happy to be done lol.
The community setting is not for me :)
I got an all star, perfect review done by the staff there. They told me they have never given a student a perfect score!
Not only that, they are building a new assisted living facility in langley and they want me to come back and work for them when I graduate. I guess they will be needing LPNs :) They wanted to make sure I kept them in mind when I am bombarded with job offers ;) LOL
I was very flattered!

I just finished writing my paper for practicum, and I already have homework for the weekend...it all has begun again lol
I enjoyed today, with some shopping with my mom and the kids. Rented a movie for myself that I am going to watch now as brandon is at work.
Its a rainy weekend, so nothing else new to report!

Not too bad eh? Top of the class :) And all with 2 toddlers at home! I guess my brain got smarter as I got older hehe.

First Summer Pics

Summer is here

and sadly I have my first sunburn to show it. I did put on sunscreen, but apparently not good enough. my chest is the worst.
So my second week at practicum is over. It went awesome. Lots more fun and relaxing this week. Still did a fair amount of toileting and stuff.
I have a funny story. I was taking a elderly man in a wheelchair to the washroom. He is able to stand up I just need to make sure he is ok and does not fall when getting out and on to the toilet. So I let him be, to do his business and I came back. I was going to help him stand up off the toilet. He says to me "Can you wipe the drips for me so they dont get into my underpants" haha. I was like..umm ok...how the heck am I gonna do that...and oh my this is a little funny. So of course as he stood, I had to wipe em. LOL Lucky me.

One more week left. It should be a good one too. I am done my practicum project, so I can relax. I did a cookie program. They liked it.
They keep trying to offer me a job. hehe. Recreation therapy is not for me. Maybe if I am desperate for work I will consider ...lol

Still no final marks. grrrr. We were supposed to have them emailed, but our instructor keeps giving us exscuses. I heard she posted them at school. but that doesnt help me!!!!
A friend went and saw his..they are by student number, so he could not look for mine. He said the person with the last number 3040 had most of the highest marks....guess what thats me...lol
:) I am so proud....we will see what they are soon, I hope. I emailed my instructor to see if she can send them to me.

Yesterday we spent the day at my parents. In their backyard. It was soooo hot out. The kids loved it, spent the day in the kiddie pool. Want to get them a bigger one.
Makes me really want a yard, sitting outside watching the kids. It was great.
Maybe we should take up my friends offer on buying our house...lol

Today I am taking the kids to get some shorts..for me.
I have none that fit. yay. lol they are all too big ;)
I am not a huge fan of shorts...maybe I can find some skirts or dresses.
Then we are going to visit daddy at the airport and have lunch.
And I am sure we will visit the pool again. It is supposed to be 0ver 30.eeeek

I am going out with my school friends this evening . We are going to a night farmers market in richmond. I cant wait to taste some yummy food!!
