Me and My Scrubs

He has been having issues with his tummy for about 6 weeks or so. He will randomly throw up. He had issues with going to the bathroom too. I took him to the Dr. and they said its normal for some kids to puke...so I left it.
When we got back from vacation it had gotten worse. He then got a cold and fever. Once he was better from that, he continued to get sick and say he had an ouchy tummy. We have had 3 pukes in the van..not fun.
So I take him to the dr. and he sends us to childrens hospital. What a waste of time, as they are referring us to a pediatrician. I guess it will take some time to watch him and figure out what is wrong. It can be many things that will need to be ruled out if it continues. Sigh. A long process.
Poor guy. Otherwise he is super healthy the Dr says. :)

I didn't update after vacation. there would be too much to say! lol

And I have decided I am a forever cruiser now, and we will be planning another for the summer hopefully. The kids LOVED it...and so did we. It just needs to be 2 weeks from now on :) We are looking at a hawaii one :)

I am still working a lot. I am loving delta, and am hoping to get a part time 8hr line soon. That will give me 2 shifts a week. It is hard to find 8hr ones in nursing too so I want to grab it while I can...plus the bonus of maternity benefit top ups.

Its been one month since the miscarriage. I am hoping things go back to normal soon for my body.
My best friend just had a baby 5 days ago..I am so jealous lol. He is a little handful but I still want one :)

Update on Me.

Things happened Oct 8th at 300pm. It was before my ultrasound.
To me I almost felt instant relief...I felt like I was ready to move on and over the initial emotion of it. After 24 hrs straight of crying, I was able to accept that it just wasnt meant to be.
I am still very sad of course, but am happy to know that I can truly heal now.....

The US showed the baby was not in the tubes. That is why I went for it.
My dr. knows I started to miscarry so she relaxed (a bit) about me going away.
She doesnt think its a good idea.
I told her if by monday things are not looking up I will go to the ER. The last thing I need is a cancelled trip!!!

I was early enough on that things should bounce back to normal soon. And once again we will let nature take its course. I was not far enough along to cause any issues that would prevent me from TTC for a few months...so thats a good thing.

So whatever God has planned for me, I am ok with that. I really want another baby, so I hope we can have a good, strong healthy pregnancy some time in the near future when its meant to be....

The worst part was the kids new I was pregnant. I have learned that next time I am not telling them until I am past the scary part.
James cried when I told him and Arianna asked questions.
I told them the baby was not healthy and able to grow. And said we would have another one soon. Just left it at that.
Arianna told me maybe if I ate healthy the baby would grow back...lol...

And that is all I have heard since....

So now we move on. I am working my last night shift until the 27th.
I am looking forward to sunday as its James birthday and thanksgiving dinner. mmmm
Monday I am cooking a turkey dinner for brandon as he is missing sundays.
Then its time for fun in the sun. I saw a temp of 27 in anaheim on tuesday. sweeeeet!!!

Very Sad

I had yet to announce, but we were expecting our third baby.
I found out today, I will be miscarrying. My HCG level did not go up, it dropped by 8. It is a waiting game now.
I am going for an US to check things out. Not sure why is necessary.... And a repeat blood test to confirm.
I am devestated to say the least.
It is so hard sitting here, waiting for such a terrible thing to happen.
At this point I need it to, so I can move on and heal.
We leave for vacation soon. And my dr. did not want me to go in case things go sour. So pray things pass quickly.
This is why I did not want to make it public until I was further along...
but I reach out in support now during this very sad time.
I cried most the day, and had to come to work for a night shift. I am here now, and its been tears on and off all night. Only 2 people at work knew, so I have not shared further.
I really wanted this baby. The timing was just right.
If any miracle happens tomorrow at the US I will share. otherwise keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Killer Cold

I have been suffering for a week with a killer sinus cold. I have not been able to sleep at night...the head pounds too much. THANK goodness I had the week off work.
I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out, but it was more complicated then we thought, and for other reasons it has been put off.

I start my shifts on my own at delta on sunday. I am a little nervous. I hope I do ok lol.
I am more excited to go on vacation lol.
the kids still do not know and we are not going to tell them. I cannot wait to see their faces. :)
I am excited that disneyland will be all decorated for halloween!
We got a suite on the cruise ship. so there will be enough room..and a balcony to sit on!! Thats where brandon is going to sleep ;) The countdown is on. 10 days!! eeeeeeeeek

Other things are going on here...but I am going to wait a bit to talk about them :) Oh no...secrets lol

Special Night

Fast Forward to Fall

I cannot believe how fast summer went. The weather has changed here to fall. So far not much rain, but the temperatures are cooler.
Arianna is enjoying kindergarten. She is enjoying meeting new friends. I love when she comes home and tells me every detail about her day :) It is so nice to see her growing up.
I went to my first meeting at the school. It was the PAC (parent association committee). I decided I want to be involved in Ariannas school like..whether she likes it or not lol.

I am going to be the parent rep for her afternoon class and volunteer my services as needed. I would like to help out where I can and get a first hand look at how she is doing ;)

I have been doing my buddy shifts at delta hospital, and am loving it. I have the best buddy ever! She is a wonderful LPN. I am going to miss not working with her. We have good times!
The unit is very different from what I am used to. I was unsure if I would like it, but I do. the one big downfall is the death. and I have had 2 already. I am so emotional it is very hard to deal with, but I am learning. The 12 hr days and nights are long, and leave me little time for home. so its good to be casual and pick up when I can.

I had my night for student of the year. brought home the big trophy for a week and now have to bring it back so they can get my name engraved. I should be getting the big check in October. I need it now as we booked a super vacation!! We are going to disneyland for 5 days then off on mexican riviera cruise. :) We are really looking forward to it. A nice treat for such hard work.
We are not telling the kids. Are going to surprise them. Take them to the airport with suitcases in the trunk :) hehe.
Arianna will miss 9 days of school. I kinda feel bad. but it is kindergarten. and we will take work with us. She will miss some crafts and things...not too much. I am nervous to tell the teacher..I dont want to be a bad parent lol.

Just celebrated our 6 yr anniversary. Had a dinner out at the keg and brandon spoiled me with a pink stone (dont know the name lol) and diamond earring and necklace set. I am so lucky :)

WOW

I was chosen for student of the year.

That means I get my tution back. Thats 19K.

I am floored. This will take 2 yrs off my pay back time lol

I am going next friday to accept the honor. And give another speech.

Which I am working on now...

But, need to take a break to go to my friend from high schools stagette tonight. WOOO!

Oh and here is me...20 pds lost...I am in the 150s now...yay :)

Keep on going....until I get pregnant that is ;) Then we can tone it down lol

Good News

I got hired at Delta hospital!
I am starting in September. I am going to still work on orthopedics at Surrey.
Delta I will be working on a medical (acute) floor. I am nervous and excited to start something new. But I feel I was not learning much more on the surgical unit and since they were getting rid of LPNS it was good timing to find something new.
I will start with 8 -12 hr shifts with a buddy. ewww to so much work haha.
They asked if I wanted to apply for a full time line...but I dont think I want to. I would prefer something part time, so I can still work at surrey. I am hoping something will come up soon.
It would benefit me greatly to have a part time line for when I am on maternity leave. :) better pay!

We are getting Arianna ready for school. I am emotional about it lol. She will be in the afternoon class. 12-230. Its a good time for her, as she seems to get restless and needs something to do :)
She has her new tinkerbell backpack and lunch bag. I will let her pick out a new outfit too sometime soon. She is so ready. It will be great for her to make some friends that are her age and live around her :) My life as a school mom has begun. Makes me feel a bit old....lol

Been enjoying the HOT weather we have been having. Spent a day at the beach with the kids and visiting water parks. It is nice to have such sunny weather towards the end of summer :)

I am preparing for my first teaching experience. Next week I am teaching the Exam prep class. I am excited...and nervous. lol
But I really want to help others pass the LPN exam. My colleges pass rate has not been too great the last 2 writing sessions. So I am gathering what I can to help and remembering what I can from the exam to share.
